Sickle Cell College Scholarship
It’s easy to see how sickle cell impacts education, socialization, and financial wellbeing — the trips to the hospital takes away from time in the classroom.
Around 30% of students with SCD do not graduate high school, according to the NIH.
We’re offering a $1000 grant to aid exceptional qualifying high school seniors and college freshman with tuition.
Science Scholarship Award
Operating out of Georgia places us in a hub of students studying to become the next generation of doctors and nurses. These fields can especially make a huge impact of someone with SCD, but can also come with a large burden of tuition and travel costs.
Within a year, we want to establish a $5000 fund to provide grants to young professionals studying hematology.
Yorktown Stage Summer Camp Scholarship
Jared loved to act — and there are children, like him, with the desire to be center stage, who lack the funds to participate in arts programs.
Yorktown Stage has a 9 week theater camp covering dancing, singing, improv, staging, and crafts.
In 2024, we reached our goal to cover 6 weeks of camp for two children.
Applications will reopen for 2025!
Camp New Hope Sponsorship
Tennis, swimming, canoeing, ziplining — these are just a few of the activities offered as a part of Camp New Hope’s annual program. The six day residential camp provides an opportunity for community building, learning, and traditional summer fun for children with sickle cell disease.
So far, we’ve covered the cost ($150) for three campers!
We’re aiming to continue growing our sponsorship by paying for at least 5 more campers by summer 2025.
DREAM Fund
We want to expand our efforts to help youths facing hardship. Our DREAM Fund will provide an award of up to $500 to assist qualifying minors with the costs for any arts/athletic/academic program.
Currently, the goal is to open applications for this fund by the end of the beginning of winter 2024.
